As many know, taking pictures of a bank is not allowed. If you look closely at the picture you can see two tellers starring at me wondering what I could possible be doing. For all they knew I very well could have been planning a bank heist. You see, this branch is closing, and I just had to get a picture of the place where I met my man.

This particular branch of Zions Bank is located in a Smiths Grocery store close to where I grew up. Upon returning home from my second year at Utah State University my mom and I went to the bank for some reason or another. It was a few minutes before they closed and I was dressed in my pajamas...boxer shorts, a big t-shirt, no make up, and with my hair pulled up on the top of my head in a complete mess. I was standing in line when Brian walked out from the back and invited me to his teller window. He was a complete flirt, I am talking over the top flirt, to a girl looking like a complete disaster. Immediatly I assumed that he was that way with all the girls. We chatted breifly about life. Found out that he was going to the LDS business college and that I had just come home from school for the summer. Every week I would go in to deposit my check. Every week, regardless of how many tellers there were or how long the line was, he was my teller. There was more flirting on both ends of the conversation, but that was as far as it went. I even thought that maybe I should ask him out on a date, but of course I never did.
One night mid-June 2002, I was asked by a friend to help with a film project she was working on in the Union building at the U of U. Right after we wrapped things up and were about to leave, in walks Brian. He was going to see a concert that a client was playing in...he never made it. Immediatly we started talking and I asked if he needed ride (he had no car and rode his bike everywhere). We talked all night and the rest is history. We dated long distance while I went back up to Utah State and he went to the U. We saw eachother every weekend and talked on the phone hours each day. That next summer, June 2003, we were married.
Here we are 6 1/2 years later...

I still remember the night when you took over to that branch so I could see Brian for the first time. I remember that my first impression was that he seemed like a really nice guy. I'm glad that you two found each other, and were able to start such a beautiful family together. I love you guys!
I enjoyed reading this post - what a sweet story :) And I'm sure you were a knock-out even in your pjs. Isn't it funny how life works out...
I remember when I talked to you on the phone and you told me you had met a guy at the bank!! I don't remember your exact words, but I remember you saying something along the lines of feeling like you were supposed to be together. Turns out you were right!
